Welcome to 🌿🐄 SGDGS
Gau Mata’s rescue is the rescue of our culture, values, and compassion
Shree Ganga Devi Goushala Society, registered on 28th July 2021 under the Societies Registration Act, 21 of 1860 (Reg. No. S000076), is a devoted non-profit organization located in Ramjibari, Kishanganj, Bihar. Our foundation is built on the values of compassion, culture, and dharma, with a single sacred purpose—to protect Gau Mata from cruelty, smuggling, and neglect.
Every day, cows are stolen from villages, farms, and border areas across Bihar and neighboring states, often trafficked illegally across borders. We cannot and will not remain silent. Our dedicated rescue team works day and night, often facing difficult and dangerous conditions, to save these innocent beings. We act swiftly whenever we receive information about smuggling or abuse, reaching the site with full preparedness and determination.
Once rescued, each cow is treated with urgent medical care, transported through our ambulance service, and welcomed into a safe, clean, and compassionate shelter. Here, they receive nutritious food, veterinary care, and lifelong support, allowing them to recover physically and emotionally in a peaceful environment.
Beyond rescue and shelter, our mission includes awareness programs across rural communities. We educate people about the seriousness of cow trafficking, the cruelty involved, and the spiritual importance of cow protection in Indian culture. We believe that Gau Sewa is not only a religious duty—it is a human responsibility.
With a strong team, deep community ties, and the blessings of Gau Mata, Shree Ganga Devi Goushala Society stands as a force of faith and action. We are not just saving cows—we are protecting our roots, our values, and our future.
